What Exactly Is Ultraviolet Photo-catalytic Oxidation Air Purifier Technology
The Mammoth Air Elite Light uses new technology utilizing UV/PCO – Ultraviolet Photocatalytic oxidation air purifier technology to fight indoor air pollution and purify the air 24/7: 365 days a year.
This UV air purifier cleaner uses ultraviolet germicidal light (UVC) together with photo-catalyst to freshen the air and to kill airborne pathogens, viruses, bacteria, fungi, mold spores, dust mites, allergens and at the same time to decompose odors as well as harmful gases. Indoor air pollutants such as formaldehyde, benzene, toluene, xylene, ammonia, cigarette smoke, carbon monoxide and various VOC can be converted primarily into harmless substances such as carbon dioxide and water vapor by the multi stages nano-titanium dioxide coated base plates. Organic odors from urine, rotten meat and garbage can also be neutralized by the Mammoth Air Elite Light effectively. Negative ions generated by the strong UVC irradiation of air can also remove airborne positively charged dust particles, pollen through attraction rendering them too heavy to remain airborne.

What is Photo-catalytic oxidation PCO?
Nano titanium dioxide (TiO2) is the photo-catalyst used in the Mammoth Air Elite Light. A unique and proprietary process is used to create the patented TiO2 formula. When this material is irradiated with ultraviolet light, strong oxidizing agents called hydroxyl radicals and super-oxide ions are formed. These agents enable the Mammoth Air Elite Light to kill / remove / eliminate airborne pathogenic and non-pathogenic microorganisms in vegetative and spore states (bacteria, mold & fungi, viruses and dust mites) , allergens, odors and harmful volatile organic compounds(VOC). Because the organic material is completely oxidized by this process, the photo-catalytic reactor is self-cleaning relative to organic material on the catalyst surface.
The absorption / decomposition performance and photo-activity of our in house coated nano-titanium dioxide base plate is superior then those common photo-catalytic mesh already on the market.
